Just Five Minutes & Just For Men

As I pulled into the lot, I saw this extremely gaunt elderly man walking from the parking lot of the Chinese restaurant next door. He was carrying a backpack and three or four brightly colored t-shirts in his left hand.

He was making a bee line toward the CVS entrance.

My first thought was, “Crap. He’s going to ask for money or try to sell me something”.

You’re Asking The Wrong Question

How often have you asked the question, “Why am I here on this planet anyway”? We all do. I have and I’d bet you have too. But is it the wrong question to ask? Often we see people the world calls “successful” or “happy” and think that they must have found their purpose. They give…

The Art Of “No”

There have been many a day when I’ve sat on our couch, reflected back on my working day and just had one thought: “What the hell happened today?”. In my line of work, it’s really easy to lose control of your day. If you are a strong problem-solver, people will look to you to handle…

The premise is this: “Our thoughts and feelings create our existence“ Essentially if you think negatively, or feel negatively, you are likely to “reap” more of the same. On the flip side of that coin, if your are happy and…

Renaissance Of Self

I believe that our world suffered a shock to it’s system after the recession hit us several years ago. Well, at least my world did. Ten years ago my focus was financial success. The almighty dollar drove all. It was the symbol of business success. This was the case for many an American. But the…

Bring Me To Life

I’ve had a bit of a challenge being consistent in my writing. To be clear, I write more for my own benefit than anything else. It’s my way of putting my random thoughts to pen and trying to make sense of them. Now for my most recent mental rumblings… _____________________________ My topic today is life:…

A Little Weed Pulling

Well, April showers brings May flowers. What do May flowers bring? Not much if you don’t tend to the soil, water and light… Your mind is much like that cluttered closet or a weed-stricken garden: There’s some weeds that need pulling and junk that needs to be tossed! Let’s start with a couple of…
